S Murray & Co is delighted to have signed a partnership agreement for the use of Prevented Ocean Plastic™ (POP)™ material in our plastic bottle production. As part of that agreement, consumers can have the confidence that any product made by S Murray & Co stated to be made from POP™ material will contain at least 30% POP™ content – or even 100% if preferred!

Prevented Ocean Plastic™ is high quality, certified recycled HDPE plastic that has been collected from coastal areas at risk of ocean plastic pollution. These areas are within 50km (30 miles) of an ocean or major waterway that feeds into the ocean. The aim of the programme is to prevent plastic entering the oceans by collecting it before it reaches the water.

The programme explicitly identifies and supports areas that do not benefit from established recycling infrastructure, including: South East Asia, South America and the Galapagos Islands, Central America and the Caribbean, and the Mediterranean.

Prevented Ocean Plastic™ meets regulatory health and safety standards, is traceable back to source, and can be identified through its distinctive triangular blue logo.
