S Murray & Co Ltd is excited to announce the acquisition, on Friday 1st December, of its Surgical Division by Sychem Surgical Ltd. The acquisition was made with a ‘strong focus’ on strengthening current relations and, with a dedicated team of machinists, polishers and quality control professionals, Sychem Surgical Ltd will now introduce its full product portfolio to its global customers.
The acquisition strengthens Sychem Surgical and positions them firmly within the global market as a UK Manufacturer of Medical Devices. The wealth of knowledge and expertise within the team will enhance the range and services offered to all their customers through the Sychem Group of companies.

In 2003 Michael Barnes purchased Sychem from its founder Brian Daniels and over the last 20 years Sychem Ltd has become one of the largest independent providers of autoclave and washer PPM, testing and UKAS validation services across the UK. With its capital equipment division they compete with the biggest names in decontamination and are extremely proud of their 17 year partnership with Steelco Group, part of the Miele Group.
To further their support of healthcare and the important process of surgical instrument reprocessing, 2023 saw the launch of a new surgical instrument company within the Sychem Group. Sychem Surgical Ltd was launched on the 1st May 2023 with a mission to provide unrivalled customer care, value for money and high quality products.
